Hello, Iām Amar.
Photographing a wedding is an extraordinary responsibility, one that I approach with quiet dedication, sensitivity, and a profound respect for the day's significance. My work is rooted in refined documentary photography, elevated by an artistic eye and an instinct for meaningful moments.
I am drawn not to spectacle, but to authenticity, the subtle exchanges, the atmosphere, the emotion beneath the surface. These are the elements that transform photographs into heirlooms.
Whether your celebration unfolds in Cape Town, London, or an intimate destination abroad, I immerse myself in the rhythm of your day, observing discreetly and photographing with intention. My presence is calm and unobtrusive, allowing you and your guests to remain fully present while every important moment is preserved with care.
The result is a body of work that feels effortless yet deeply considered, images that capture not only how your wedding looked, but the spirit, elegance, and emotional truth of the experience.
Long after the flowers have faded and the music has quieted, your photographs remain, not simply as records of an event, but as a living memory of how it felt to stand at the centre of it all. I intend to create imagery that grows more valuable with time: sophisticated, emotionally resonant, and forever relevant. Photographs that will be revisited, shared, and treasured across generations.
I photograph your wedding through my eyes, guided always by your story, your loved ones, and the significance of the day you've chosen to begin your life together.
Ram and Bhavina Sutton, England
The wedding of Ram and Bhavina was full of color and laughs with beautiful scenery. Part of the celebrations was held at Zarose Estate in Stellenbosch, South Africa.
Ramās family visited from the UK for 15 days of fun in Cape Town. The bridal couple had the traditional multiple-day celebrations of an Indian Wedding.
Both Bhavina and Ram looked beautiful in their ornate traditional Indian wedding costumes, To ensure that all of the details were authentic, Bhavina took a ten day trip to India to procure her cream mulberry silk lehenga with choli and her familiesā various outfits. We are in love with the bursts of color and incredible detail in each of these gorgeous pieces. Her vibrancy matched the beautiful scenery of Stellenbosch wonderfully and their love for each other, really shines through.
Following the legal English ceremony last July In Sutton, England is the traditional Indian ceremony in Cape Town which took place on 10 February 2019 at Rotunda in Camps Bay.
The wedding came together in a way that was reflective of this endearing couple - suave and fashionable with a touch of whimsy.
Here are some of my favourite photos from this incredible weddingā¦
Pithi ā This ceremony takes place separately at the brideās and groomās places separately the day before the wedding.
The bride/groom sits on a low stool or bajat and a paste of turmeric, sandalwood, rosewater, and is applied to their face, hands and feet.
The bride/groom is then bathed with water.
I am so excited to share with y'all that the wedding I did in Cape Town, South Africa. The coupleās wedding was a whimsical coastal dream!
I love chasing after the little moments and details my couples have on their special day and obsessing over their intimate ceremony on the ocean shore.
This wedding was a perfect example of the beauty that happens when you combine beach views with modern and chic designs and had the perfect mix of laid-back elegance.
